Ever notice the difference in the kind of art different sites attract? What I mean is how I've noticed the difference in the art of sites like Wet Canvas and Deviant Art.

Wet Canvas almost exclusively attracts elderly women in retirement or very close to retirement age. And it shows in the choice of subjects they paint. Almost exclusively the subjects favored by elderly women will be children, cats and landscapes. Occasionally florals will be thrown in. But there isn't much deviation from these.

Deviant Art attracts a younger audience and it shows in the diversity of subject matter. Also there's more creativity in how the subjects are made. It's a breath of fresh air.
